Jewish international call in support of Palestine
JOIN OUR CALL: https://forms.gle/vtmWJWQze2B1Fucd9
Genocide could be developing to full scale extermination. Several scholars estimate that the various official “counts” are very far from reflecting the true number of Palestinians who have been murdered by the Jewish supremacy project since Oct 7. Death is everywhere in Gaza.
Join us to do all we can to save the survivors. We are already late.
Support for the Palestinian People from Jewish groups and individuals. An international call:
"On three things does the world stand: On Justice, on Truth and on Peace.” - Mishnah Avot 1:18
POSITION
Witnessing the horrific genocide Israel is committing in Gaza, we, Jews and people of Jewish descent from around the globe, including Israel, denounce the state of Israel’s claim to act on our behalf and for our supposed benefit. Instead, we form part of the global solidarity movement with the Palestinian people and their struggle. We are committed to a joint struggle and ongoing cooperation with Palestinians and other oppressed minorities and groups.
Zionism has established a Jewish supremacist apartheid state by ethnically cleansing Palestine, stealing indigenous land, and executing a European colonization plan. Israel oppresses the Palestinians, by enforcing population transfer/expulsion, internal displacement, military rule, brutal occupation, siege, systematic discrimination - both within the state of Israel and in the Occupied Territories - and, ultimately, by genocide. Israel denies Palestinians the most basic human right: the right to live.
Western and other countries that support Israel are complicit in the crimes of the Zionist state and share responsibility for the current Genocide, and for the rebuilding of Gaza. They have been rewarding Israel for its ongoing illegal and brutal practices, creating the false image of a democracy that complies with international law.
We believe that Jewish supremacy in Palestine offers no solution to racism against Jews, or antisemitism. The Zionist project violates our human, democratic and Jewish values. We reject being misrepresented to justify genocide, apartheid, and supremacy. We strongly reject the manipulative claim that anti-Zionism is a form of antisemitism. It is the continued crimes of Israel that contribute to the rise of antisemitism.
VISION
We support the call for Palestine to be decolonized and for a single democratic state to be established from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea. A constitutional democracy, founded on justice and equality, must de-politicise identity and guarantee equality, justice and freedom for all its citizens. It means a state whose institutions and legal system guarantee all citizens and residents economic and social justice, providing health, education and all other services in an equitable and just manner.
Justice also requires reversing the ongoing land dispossession, implementation of the right of return and compensation for the crimes of the Zionist state, to all refugees from 1948 and 1967 and their descendants.
External political, financial and cultural isolation of Israel is required to bring about a radical transformation towards a just and peaceful existence in Palestine. The current State of Israel and its political and military leaders must be held accountable for their ongoing crimes against humanity and against the Palestinian people, as should be the leaders of the Western bloc.
DEMANDS
o We demand an immediate full and permanent cease-fire, an end to the siege of Gaza, and the full withdrawal of all Israeli forces; all crossings between Gaza and historic Palestine must be opened immediately to allow access to humanitarian assistance and the apartheid walls dismantled. We call for full support of any Palestinian request for a UN protection force which may be required.
o The displaced population of Gaza should be provided with immediate humanitarian assistance within historic Palestine and offered compensation for decades of dispossession and persecution. Gaza’s residents should be allowed to resettle freely inside the whole of historic Palestine, as the Gaza strip has been made uninhabitable by Israel.
o We demand an immediate and total retreat of the Israeli army and the removal of Israeli settlements from all the Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 and the dismantlement of the Israeli Apartheid Regime.
o We call on all people of conscience, wherever they may be, to honor and advocate for the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign.
o We call on all governments to implement a total arms embargo on the state of Israel, and for severing ties on all levels with organisations and institutions that collaborate with the genocidal Israeli apartheid regime, as a means of compelling it to accept the just demands of the BDS movement.
We call for the full rights of the Palestinian people to be granted and protected, as a group and as individuals.

BRICUP members resign in suport of Prof. David Miller
NOTE FOR DAVID MILLER TRIBUNAL
We, as academics and until recently members of the British Campaign for the Universities of Palestine, (BRCUP), are writing in support of Professor David Miller. He is now facing an Employment Tribunal looking at his complaint against unfair dismissal by the University of Bristol.
Professor Miller's dismissal had followed on two legal inquiries by a QC appointed by the University of Bristol, where he was a professor of Political Sociology, looking into accusation of antisemitism against him, over the period since September 2019; Both inquiries cleared Prof. Miller, finding that he could not be accused of antisemitism. The university, under pressure by pro-Zionist lobby organisations, has ignored the finding of its own legal experts and sacked Prof. Miller, despite having no proof for its serious accusations.
Prof Miller is now under attack again for his tweet of August 7, 2023, on the allegation that it was antisemitic. We do not agree the tweet was antisemitic or counter-factual but see it as a part of an ongoing campaign of persecution of Professor Miller for his critical stance on the state of Israel. When our own organisation, Bricup, joined the ranks of his antisemitism accusers, the three of us resigned in protest.
We find David Miller's persecution reprehensible and astonishing at a moment when more than half of the Israeli population is questioning the policies and actions of the Israeli government; when senior Israeli politicians, ex-generals and former Mossad and Shabak chiefs are combining to condemn Israeli Apartheid - despite the fact they were part of the state which set it up; and when international commentators and pundits condemn the process of Normalisation of Israel's extremist government.
David Miller is not guilty of any crime and did not deserve to be dismissed from his post by the university. That some university students felt uncomfortable or upset by Professor Miller is not sufficient grounds for depriving him of his livelihood and reputation.
We urge the Tribunal to overthrow his dismissal.
Signed

re Stephen Sizer
Your demonisation of Stephen Sizer as antisemitic has no basis. I have heard Stephen speak passionately to promote equal human rights for all on many occasions. His writings promote peace, justice and, indeed, love. Likewise the Peacemaker Trust explicitly seeks "...to be a catalyst for peacemaking, especially where minorities are persecuted, where justice is denied, human rights are suppressed or reconciliation is needed".
Stephen has worked closely with Jewish Network for Palestine (JNP) to promote equal rights for all in Israel/Palestine. In fact, Stephen is pictured in front of JNP’s banner on Peacemaker Trust 'welcome' web-page; https://peacemakers.ngo.
I have Jewish heritage and was brought up to admire the creation of Israel. I now realise that Israel is founded on violent racist colonial theft and is sustained by violent racist apartheid. Zionism is racism, so criticising the Israeli state is anti-racist, not antisemitic.
Yours sincerely, David Cannon; on behalf of Jewish Network for Palestine.
Guardian shows its ugly face
The Guardian shows its ugly face
After years of acting as the whipping-boy for the Israeli lobby, and hounding Jeremy Corbyn as a supposed antisemite, the Guardian has agreed to publish letter from many left-wing Jews, including many from Jewish Network for Palestine, giving the lie to the orchestrated anti-Corbyn campaign and reminding readers that they should never confuse anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Heading the signatory list were Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, Ed Asner and Richard Falk.
We were quite pleasantly surprised by this turnaround by the Guardian, needless to say. Has the leopard the changed its spots? Has the Guardian decided to allow the truth to be published on its pages?
Our pleasure lasted only few hours. The letter was summarily removed from the Guardian website, as if it had never existed. Such creative editing of history is worthy of Stalinist Russia, to be sure. Unfortunately for the Guardian, the many printed copy carried the letter. Maybe they should also have collected these from all readers? There is always the next time…
The image below of the printed letter serves to prove the fickle nature of the editorial staff, and the power of the Israel lobby to even remove already-published material.
